My knitting and crochet causes much fascination at work and I often receive requests from colleagues for small items. This is how these wrist warmers came about. I have a variety of balls of Artesano Aran and Cascade 220, both of which I find really useful worsted weight wools. I have used them for lots of projects, especially hats, and they are easy to knit with and cosy. I didn’t have quite enough grey wool to make a pair so used some burgundy as a highlight, knitting it double with Rowan Kidsilk Haze for extra fluff and decadence.
The pattern is Easy fingerless mitts by Maggie Smith.

They are lovely, and I’m sure quite warm. I love how you contrasted the grey with burgundy, grey/other colour contrasts always look so elegant and dignified.
Thank you for your kind comments – they are indeed warm!
